When I was five months old, my dad who is a police officer for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, was hurt on duty and left paralyzed from the waist down. My dad’s injury is unfortunate, and is something that my family and I are affected by everyday.
Growing up in a Law Enforcement family, I am constantly surrounded by courageous men and women in uniform. These people and their passion for the Justice system has inspired me to want to attend Law School and practice Law in the future. This fall, I will attend the University of Nevada, Reno, and start working towards a degree in Political Science and Anthropology. With my sight set on Law School, and the price tag that comes with it, I am very grateful for Kids’ Chance of Nevada in their generosity in helping me pay for my higher education. Thanks to Kids’ Chance of Nevada, I am one step closer to making my dreams a reality.
