This scholarship has helped me out in so many ways, thank you to my resilient mom and Kids’ Chance of Nevada for giving me this opportunity to support my higher education. My father passing away when I was young as well as being raised by a single mother with two other siblings provided financial hardship that even at a young age I knew it was affecting my family. I love to write and that is what I want to do as a career. This scholarship will be going towards my tuition and I feel so fortunate to say the least.

I will be attending the University of Nevada, Reno with a focus on a degree in English Writing to help boost my career and pay back my mother for everything she had to go through to get me here.
